Good morning and thank you for calling into my little blog.  It's been a busy few days here so again I haven't had much time to do my blog.

Today's card is one I made for our niece who has just bought her first home.  Big step and very nerve racking  as well up until those keys were hand over to her on Friday.  I remember when our three went through this when they all took that big step.
Just a very simple card, which I started by embossing a piece of white card ( Anna Marie ) the embossing folder is by Darice.  I like these simple designed folders. Then I just layer it up using Anna Marie spotty card and more of the white. Cut some butterflies with SW cascading butterfly die, the little hearts are from the waste. Stamped my sentiment and that was it.

I made her up a couple of useful gifts as well and popped a cheque in to her card as well.
Here are her gifts
Towels were harder to wrap than I thought as they were of different sizes and it was  getting them to sit neatly.   Bath sheet, 4 bath sized, 4 hand. Plus 4 tea towels. ( just noticed I have taken photo of the not so neat side oh dear!)

Just useful things that we all need, she can buy something she would like and needs with
her money.
Off to see the flat on Tuesday with sister Patricia. We can't wait as the flat is half of an old Victorian house and still has the original ornate high ceilings which have been loving  preserved .
Niece is an artist and fabric designer so I can see some fantastic pieces being restored for this home.
Thank you for all of your comments on my last card, they are aporiecated.

Thank you for all your comments on my little plaque. I just loved the quote.  This was bought from a little store miles from any where. Nearest town was Prince George. That wasn't  near really. The lady and her husband ran the gift shop, store, cafe.  They had a few of these plaques with great quotes on them but I couldn't be cheeky and ask if I could photo them, I felt that would have been rude.  The husband did wood craving and she made the fudge ( which was to die for).

Today's card was made for a friends anniversay. A very simple card. I used memory box dies cut from silver card stock, also used on the layers,   Spotty EF.  The white card is Anna Marie. As I said very simple.

Again thank you for calling in.

Good morning thank you for calling in. Also thank you for the lovely comments left.
I found this little  plaque  on our travels in Canada and thought it was so true for those of us that have worked hard until we retired.  To often work has taken over our lives for so long we don't adjust to retirement that easily.

That's all for today. I am off out to meet up with big sister Patricia.

Enjoy your day, if you are retired remember to enjoy yourself.

Sorry I have been missing for weeks, things have been very busy here plus we went away on holiday and just back.    Thank you for looking in to my very simple blog.  I do appreciate you doing so.
Google is still giving me problems and I can't always get in to other blogs and if I do I am lucky to comment on one or two only.

Today is a card for my niece.  This young lady is not a fashion follower or into handbags and shoes either so it made it difficult to do her card. I went for a very simple design using SW butterfly dies, and the SW spotty EF.  Hannah does like pale colours so I played safe.

As I said I have been busy. Lots of teachers gift baskets as that our Scottish schools broken up for summer holidays.  Baby gifts have been required to be made also.   Then it was our holiday to Canada that we are just recovering from.  We did over 3 thousand miles. This was to be our last trip as it is just to much. I think the 5 hours sat at Toronto airport just was a step to much on our way home.

Lots of these kind of things now just memories.
Well that's it for now.  I hope to get time to do things that I can post.

Thank you again for calling in.
