THANK YOU CARDS

Got a text yesterday from Lesley my boss asking if I would like to make the "thank you "cards for the speakers at today's meeting?   Yes no problem male or female?  No answer, so went ahead and made both, kept them simple as I didn't have much time and needed to get them finished for when I was going to get Beth.  Whom by the way said to say "THANK YOU" for all your lovely comments about her design of her party invites.  She so enjoyed herself.

Any way my cards.

Sorry photos not very good as the sun was a bit bright and then I noticed I had smugged the thank you. So it was a quick restamp and cut on again.  But you can see what I did very quickly.

I embossed the male one on the White card with a spotty/dotty SB folder, the navy card is SW Art Deco one.   The " thank you" is one I have had for a very long time, but felt it was right for a male card.    The female one is pearlised card for the card itself, SW striplet and backing paper from one of the "works" pads of 12x12. The " thank you" stamp is a LOTV one.  Very simple but works.  Lesley was pleased with them, and seeing how it took her till after I had finished them to let me know what she needed, I am glad I just went ahead.  I had a gift to make, and yes I forgot to photo that after I had to hush to change the "thank you".   It was just a little wicker basket with 6 individual mini shower gels, this gift was for the Young lady who had helped Lesley set up things for the meeting.

Well it's time for me to be off to get Beth.   Have flowers and a card to drop off on route.  Then to the post office .  All go Beth has to be back into school as again by 5.45pm they are doing another preformance of " Joseph " they have done very well having put on two shows already.   Anna is off show jumping.   With mum being away all day and dad in Edinburgh it's a late one for me.

  9. Hi Hazel
So much for you slowing down missy lol!
Great cards, especially done on the hoof. The Works paper looks lovely, as did Patricia's.
Thanks for the reply about the 48 hour thing. Blimey, if that had been in when I was at school, me fingers would have been down me throat lol!
Oooh, and the Sun kissed Fleur is one single die that cuts loads of different sized flowers in one go. You can get a matching stamp for it too, I think, but I haven't got that.
Now, feet up with a cuppa for you!
    Best wishes.

  20. You are a true artist to whip up these lovely cards so fast, and especially with minimal directions on the request. The male version was very cool, but you will guess that the SW version grabbed my eye. (You are such an enabler with these fantastic strips...like I need it, right?!). Really made such an elegant card, and these folks are so lucky to have you available on such short notice! Great cards. TFS & Hugs. (DH was much better today). Happy wkend.

  21. Hi Hazel. Love both your cards. Well done at such short notice. Hope you are taking a rest this weekend. My wrist is improving but not good in the mornings. Takes a while to get it working, but I keep exercising and back to physio on Tuesday.

  25. Hazel, thanks for your visit. Hope all is well in your part of the world. The dogs do 'chill' best of all. Three of them went to the park for a romp, so are all tuckered out just now. Sadly the oldest grey is not doing well, and is hard to watch. Something will need to be done very soon now, we can see it, but the DD can't let go just yet. Vet says he's not in pain, he still eats, and when it's time for her to come home, he gets very happy. At night she gets him out and he walks in the pool, but then needs help to get out & walks very slowly back inside. Mostly he just lies in his bed and waits for someone to pet him. Happy Easter. Hugs too.
