A CARD MADE WITH ONE OF MY BUYS

I would say good afternoon, but it's the most miserable one here, lights on as its so dark.  Well as my title says its a card made from one of my new dies.

This card is just one I made up to see how my Sue Wilson DELPHINUS die from the Gemini set. Would turn out like.
It's cuts a dream, and I can see it getting a lot of use its gorgeous even if I say it myself?
I cut it first into a A4 piece of pearlised  card then embossed it from just above the die cut. I cut it again out from Anna-Marie Leaf Green card ( it's the first time I have used this make of card, it won't be the last) I then off set the green at the back of the White card.  It's a tri fold card.   I then put a lenght of green ribbon round and tied a faux bow.  ( had to take instruction from big sis) I had messaged her a picture not knowing if ribbon and a bow was right, she suggested this style where I had to ask " what do you mean"  I am still learning something each day.  I haven't put a sentiment as it was just a card to see what I could do, I will pop in it my box and a sentiment can still be added.

Well that's me for today I will be having a play with some more of my goodies over the next few days, but first I have 10 more evening invites to make, I knew I should have made the 60 they first said.

Take care and for those who aren't to good there is some ((((((hugs))))))

  2. Good afternoon Sis, looks good.
Think a conventional Bow would have been too much, but that looks fine.

  8. Hi Hazel
I'm chuckling away to myself as to "test" one of my new Geminis last week, I cut it and embossed above it using the same folder lol! Didn't think to fold it in half and use it as a card, its just gone in the bit box hahaha!
Did make another with a "shadow" but differently.
Its not been the brightest of days here today but a least its not been cold.
    Best wishes.

  14. Lovely card Hazel and like the die. I decided to try using the GC yesterday and my new Times Square die. Seen Sue cut and it cut easily. I didn't want to have to turn the handle a lot because of the wrist but was very disappointed as the die just would not cut especially the little one in the middle. I cut them all out separately abd thought I might have to put them through 4 times just in case but most of them at least six times and I lost count of the number of times I put the middle one through. When Sue cut it in TV it cut sirst time. Perhaps my GC is getting too old

  17. Hi Sue. Thanks for your comment on Sandra's blog about my die. I also bought the Bevelled Glass Striplet at the same time and that cut fine. Always put it through forwards and backwards just in case and no problem. Will try someone else's machine and see how it is on theirs before I send it back. Thanks again. Hope it's not too tiring a day for you today.

  20. Who knew, seeing this die set, what a stunning edge could be made using it! This is just so very pretty. Looks great on your pretty tri-fold. Love the papers, don't know this brand. Lucky you to have a skillful tutor to help you in the tricky spots. You both did great!! TFS
