HAPPY BIRYHDAY

Good afternoon, it's been a really nice day up till about 15 minutes ago, now it's going very dull.
Now Calum ( grandson ) asked me to thank you all so,so much for all the lovely comments you left for him on his Anderson shelter project.   He was so made up with every one of them.  He took it in to school and so far he is the only one to do so, but as his mum said that's not always the case, Calum loved doing this and is enjoying the whole project, but on saying that he might not be so keen to do the writing bit, as he has low muscle tone and he finds it hard to write long pieces.

Today's card is for Anna and Beth's mum.  The girls have made one as well I will show that in the next day or two.   I now have a knew home card and a card for the girls Granny, who came home yesterday from being away down to Manchester to a funeral to find burglars had broken in and got all her Jewllery, sad as a lot was from her own mother and other family members.  At 73 it's not what you want and now she is feeling unsafe in her home, as she feels someone has been watching her home plus she can't understand how they knew where to find her box, nothing disturb and nothing else taken, so I will make a card to let her know I am thinking of her.  She was to be coming up next weekend to babysit the girls while mum and dad attended a ball.   I can feel a baby sit coming on.  We will see.

A 7x7 card, I used Lidl purple card, first edition New Blooms paper pad, Die'sire endurance die, Sue Wilson leaves and heart felt asters.

Well I'd better make a move and go pick up Beth.  I am glad it isn't as cold as yesterday, I got so cold waiting for her.

Thank you for all your lovely comments they are appreciated.

  3. OMG Poor Granny, what a low life to do that. Sounds like it may be someone she knew being as they knew where the box was kept and nothing else taken. It will be very hard for her now to live alone and I can fully understand it. Please give her our love and best wishes.

The card is fabulous Hazel as was the Anderson shelter lol! Sorry only just looked at it.

    Love & hugs

  4. Hi Hazel,
so sorry to hear about Granny.
What an awful shock, the poor thing, and items of such a sentimental value, besides the intrusion into her private place of living.
I well remember when my sister in law got burgled, she never felt the same in the house for quite a few years.
Your card is very lovely and should cheer her up no end.
Great design, and lovely paper used too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  5. Oh Hazel this is so very beautiful, I love the flowers and the colours are so delicate, who could fail to be over the moon to receive this card.
The poor Granny I know when my mum was broken into she said the worst thing was knowing some unknown person had been in her house going around it, this really shook and upset, her more than what was taken. It does look as though your back up services will be called for.
Take care in the awful weather.
    With love

  14. Gorgeous card and love the colours and the Die' sire die cut xx how awful for Granny she will definitely feel uncomfortable now - we actually got burgled while we were at our Mums funeral - it had been in the local newspaper so I suppose an open invitation - like you say it is the fact that they take such sentimental things that cannot be replaced and will probably not get much at all for them!! you can only hope that in these instances that the saying 'what goes around comes around' but that doesn't make you feel any better - I really feel for her xx GailT xx

  18. Hi Hazel
How could a card using a First Edition paper not fail to please. Its a smasher Hazel so will be well received.
What a terrible shock for the lady. Have been broken into twice (whilst we've been in) and its not pleasant experience. Its so sad when sentimental stuff gets taken.
    Have a great weekend.
