A COUPLE CARDS

Good afternoon,  thank you for all your lovely comments on my "Oldie Friday " card.   I am going to make sure I use the dies that I haven't used much lately more often.

Today it's two simple birthday cards, Andrew young grand son has a couple of birthday party's coming up, so granny has been given the task of making the cards. Oh and the little gifts for the girls. Then again is that not what granny's are for???

Well Gillian and Andrew came yesterday and they have decided on the design for their invites, so I am going to make a start on die cutting the different pieces ready for assembling them, Gillian will help to do them.   Thankfully it's a small wedding so not many day time invites, and very simple ones for the evening party, thank goodness as there are a good few.

My cards are 5x7 prefolded cards
LOTV images

Sue Wilson leaves and bow on the girls card made out of my off cuts.

Well today I had to take Harris our dog for his morning walk, Charlie has got the start of a chest Infection, he has been to doctors and on strong antibotics, thank goodness  as I didn't want a repeat of last year.
Have to say it's been a while since I have been round the grounds of Crawford Priory which is just out the back of our house.   I couldn't believe how many Snowdrops were out, it was lovely walking round as its so peaceful

It did help that after another night of terrible winds, that it had all calmed down and the rain stopped and the sun was out.  Still cold but nice.

Well I'd better make a move and get organised to go and pick Beth up, I have to go to kinross to pick Anna up for 5 so it won't be an early finish tonight.

Take care and stay safe.

Hazel xxxx

  2. I shall jump on the band wagon in my love for LOTV, they are so delightful and make life really easy when it comes to getting lovely images for cards, just as you have proved, Hazel your cards are beautiful.
Yes the snowdrops do seem to be early this year, we have some out in the garden already. Such a lovely setting for a walk pity it is just too far to bring our corgis for a walk!
Congratulations on winning a prize from Sue.
Take care and I hope your hubby is soon feeling much better.
    Hugs

  3. Hello Hazel, sorry to hear that Charlie is poorly, hopt the anti biotics do there work quickly and he feels better soon.
Lovely cards, Maisie is my favourite little character.
Now you talking about Snowdrops, I saw the most beautiful black lamb when we were driving back for having our walk. I don't think he was long here, he was tiny.
Have a good week and take care, hugs Kate x

  4. Two adorable cards Hazel I am sure they will be appreciated by the recipients. Hope Charlie has a swift recovery. Snowdrops the first sign that Spring will be here although I think we have some more harsh weather to survive first! Susan x

  6. Congratulation Hazel on winning a Sue prize (I presume it was you) ? Always extra special when you see someone that blogs everyday win a card or Sunday gift, rather than those that only visit when Sue is launching and giving away gifts, people really dont appreciate just how kind and generous the lovely lady is do they ?
Anyway im getting dizzy up on my soap box so sorry to rant Hazel.
Love love love your cards today, have you coloured them yourself ? I bet the little one's will adore these cards. Ive started to get a few LOTV stamps but I only have pro markers and not all that many considering how many colour's they do now ! Those chamilion pens look fab, but not on my list just yet !
You have made 2 beautiful cards and I know ive said it before, you wouldn't believe you've not been crafting for long.
Look forward to seeing your next beautiful card (s)
Have a restful evening and hope your husby feels better soon.
    Hugs.

    1. Steph, the LOTV images where some that Patricia gave me when I started making cards last year. She has all these fancy pens etc, I do love colouring but up till now never had the time, but I might just make a start, or I will wait till we go to Canada later in the year and take things to colour in for the long flight and when we are chilling out. Now Steph you can come and join me on my soap box if you want, I was on it this morning about work, and yes I agree to many only comment when there is a give away. I did e-mail Sue asking if it was myself that had won again, relay " yes it's you". Sue is a lovely person and it was a pleasure meeting her last year. I hope your trip to the clinic hasn't taken to much out of you, take it easy, feet up. Says me that Patricia is always telling me to do. Hazel x

  7. These are adorable cards Hazel, I have a LOTV image pad and have yet to use it (like so much other stuff I have accumulated!!). My daffs are just peeping through the ground but the snowdrops are a long way off yet...no sign of them. We have a weather warning for snowy blizzards over the next couple of days so not looking forward to that at all xx

Never used these images myself but your cards are fab for children (or adults for that matter).
You'll be a busy gal with the wedding. Hope we will get a peek of the invites once they've been issued.

  15. Oh so cute! Love LOTV and having the topper & a prefold, well, the SW trims just really dressed up all the above so nicely. Hope that DH gets over the chest infection. And thanks for sharing the wonderful picture of your walk. How marvelous that you have such an awesome sight to enjoy on your walkies, and to have flowers breaking surface, that's just an added extra. Love seeing the part of the world that you inhabit. Glad that the bad winds didn't do any damage. TFS & Hugs. Good luck on the die cutting. So happy you've got a willing helper.
