Good afternoon, can't believe it's Thursday again!!!    This working every day is not good, I am missing having the odd morning off.   Wasn't into work in the morning yesterday BUT had a Hugh basket of works ironing here which I stood and attacked.  Yes it was nice not having to get out of the door by 6.50am.  But my body doesn't take that into account and was wide awake at  5.15am as normal.

Thank you for all your comments about my rearranged cutting area of my spare room,  I should show you the other end of the room where I have all my boxes with card, paper etc.  plus more drawers of gift making things, but that will be another day.

As you know I treated myself to and XCut machine.  I have been playing with it learning what pressure etc to use, so of course I had lots of bits sitting. So I decided to start using them so have made up a couple of Christmas cards, I don't really do cards at Christmas but instead spend the money on things for the chemo unit.   I hate waste so this year I will make some.

On these I have used SW striplet dies and her little bow die.  Memory box Matrice De De'coupe 100% acier.  Very simple cards.    I have lots of other die cuts that will need using so I will likely do some more c/ cards.

It's turn out a really lovely day here so I am going to go and put the works dogs in the car and go off to the woods with them and let them have a run and me I will have a slow walk, I am feeling a lot better, steroids have kicked in thank goodness but I won't over do the walking as I don't want to go back to being in pain.

((((Hugs)))) to those who aren't well to good or are just a wee bit down.

I love these Christmas card you have made I'd never thought of using my striplettes for Christmas cards. How's your cut going I have the Ebosser but it's stopped working I'm really issuing it as I've had to go back to my grand calibur but it's killing my arm. Hope you are feeling better soon xx

  18. Hi Hazel good to hear you are feeling a bit better, I hope you enjoyed your walk.
I LOVE these two cards, beautiful use of dies and colour.
Have a good weekend and happy crafting, hugs Erika. x

  19. Hi Hazel, read your previous post about being under the weather & enjoyed the tour of your craft space. How does an Xcut machine differ from the GC? I am unfamiliar with the Xcut. Love these beautiful cards with the SW dies. I bought some of the striplets after seeing them used to great advantage by you & your crafty Sister, but not had the courage to use them as yet. These are simply wonderful cards. Hope you feel very much improved real soon. TFS & Hugs

  20. Hello Hazel
I have just discovered your blog and you have made two beautiful cards with Sue's striplets dies, I have these and simply love them they are so vey useful I have used mine lots of times for all occasions and they look really good, but I have not thought of using them for Christmas cards so thank you so much for the idea.
As your GC will be still under 12 months old wherever you got it from they should replace it as it 'is not fit for the purpose for which it was bought' by English law but perhaps not quite the same in Scotland. If as it appears you are not making any progress have you got any Office of Fair Trading as they would be able to help. If all else fails you could send Spellbinders an email. Do hope this may help you, I really hate it when shops take your money but if things go wrong they don't want to know. I do hope you soon get matters sorted.

    1. Margaret thank you for popping in to see what I get up to, and if I have given you and idea for a card or a gift, I am happy . From looking at other blogs I learnt a lot. As for my GC Hobbycraft don't give replacements only with in 28 days. The girls in Dundee have their hands tied, big company, but saying that Adrian at my little local craft shop says he is not allowed to give replacements as Spellbinders went mental on him for giving replacements and even for giving a customer a handle. So maybe Hobbycraft have had the same problem. But thank you for what you have said. Hazel xx
