Good morning everyone.   Well the last day of 2014.    I have to say it seems to have been a very quick year, I know that sound stupid and oh many years ago when A person of many years of age would say to me " you wait till you get older your will feel the same".  Now my words were " oh yes" I don't think so?   How wrong was I!!!   We are ending our year with the forth coming happy event that will take place in the summer. Our daughter Gillian will get married.  This time last year it wasn't even a thought, yes Gillian had meet Andrew but just.   We are so happy for them both.

While making Andrew and Gillians card, I was half way through making a wedding card that Tammy had asked me to make, but on see the design of A&Gs one Tammy asked if she could change her mind.
So it is on the same design but different.   The in structions were they like black, don't do frills.
This is what I came up with. YES that striplet was used again.

It's an 8x8 card, embossed with a folder that is a Spellbinders one but I don't know the name, it's pretty with all the hearts.   The papers are from my First Eddition Noir et Chic pad, for those who have this pad you will know that the black is lovely.   It's special with those sparkly bits through it, and I felt was just right for a special day card. Ribbon for tieing the gift walket is from stash.

I just hope the couple like it, I know Tammy was very pleased she asked for the change in design.

Well I am off to do some housework, now I won't be running around deep cleaning or anything like that  just because tradition says one must deep clean ones house before the New Year comes in.  Well I am sorry that's not going to happen in this house as I am off to work soon and two life is to short for that in my books these days.

So what ever you are doing this New Year's Eve please take extra care.   It just remains for me to wish each and every one of you.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND I HOPE 2015 WILL BRING YOU ALL
                                               GOOD  HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.

Just thought I'd show the card and gift wallet I made for our oldest daughter Gillian and her partner Andrew
Yes my Sue Wilson striplet has been put to work again,

I used my Die'sire Romance die for the inside of the card added some Sue Wilson Vinery leaves, the backing paper that I used behind the striplets and for the inside are from my first edition pad of papers.    I embossed my card with a heart EB folder don't know the name. Used the cut out heart to keep the two halves closed.

We had a lovely day with Gillian and Andrew,  had a beautiful meal and celebrated their engagement.  We are both so happy for them.  Our Gillian has been so happy since meeting Andrew a year ago.

I do hope you all had and still are having a lovely time.  I know there are many who will have been unable to enjoy this holiday through illness or are to sad as they will be missing loved ones who are no longer with them.   We have to remember this.

We are off back today to Gillians they are having a family open kind of day, people will be popping in and out over the next few hours.

Take care if you are out and about, especially if you have this terrible freezing fog we have.

Good morning.   Thank you for all your birthday wishes for Charlie.  Yes it's seems he's not the only Man to do what he did.   He enjoyed his birthday, a big one next year, so he better behave between now and then.

I am just showing you that you don't need a fancy basket or gift bag to make things like some lovely hair products into a nice looking gift.  Yes a length of cellophane or cling as I call it can do that.

All I have done here is cut a length of cellophane places a cup coaster in middle placed the products in the middle gathered up the cello and tied with two lengths of organzas ribbon.  Cost to wrap - pennies really.

Thank you all for your wonderful support and lovely comments this past year.  I wish you all a

MERRY CHRSTMAS & A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR

Saturday, 20 December 2014

Well I started to do a post yesterday morning, but ran out of time, had Beth to pick up at 12 o'clock, and had bits to do before hand.  Any way I will leave the " oldie" till the new year that I was putting up.

Today is husband Charlies birthday. Now he is very lucky he has made it to today, seeing how I had my pile of cards on the side board ready to take to the post office so they could be stamped accordingly to what was needed.  I thought I was going mad ( well iam half way there as it is) because I couldn't find the pile, looked in the spare room and the car, now the amount of stuff that's in there belonging to the girls well it was a job and a half.  No they weren't there so asked Charlie had he seen what I had done with them answer "oh I have posted them". How did you manage that as the villiage post office isn't open and you didn't have a car.  Oh I had stamps here so I just stamped them and popped them in the box Why!!!   Yes they should have had more postage on them. ahhhh.  Why oh why does he not get it that the postal service has changed???  So what folk thought was thunder over head in Springfield was me exploding with temper.

Any way it's done now can't change it, but do you think he will learn - NO, he's a man.

So here is the card I made for him, not a lot of time spent on it. I knew what image and papers I would use, it's very plain and simple.

LOTV image, and it fits the bill that's what he likes doing, sitting in his chair watching TV.  Ok he doesn't wear a cap.   The papers are from My Silent Night first edition pad, and some brown card from goodness knows where, had it so long.   Very quick easy card.

Thank you all for your comments on my wrapped gifts, I am a bit sick of seeing my roll of cellophane now.   I have been doing various gifts up, haven't photographed them as a lot are what I have done like it the passed.   I have got to say my gift bags have been a great hit this year and I have made gift wallets.  Like these

Very, very simple an A 4 piece of card with a little bit cut off the length, scored on my board, corners rounded and YES a striplet die cut and ribbon to tie.   This one contains a voucher for a foot treatment, oldest daughter is a podiatrist and she is often asked for a voucher and of course it was a call to Mum to see what I could do to make it into a lovely gift.

Off now to get little grandson, here's coming for a sleepover but coming early as Daddy and Mummy are going to the football this afternoon as my big grandson is Mascot at the Dumferline match.
So little one and I will bake today and tomorrow things for Boxing Day when we are all together as a family.

Take care if you are out and about in this frosty weather.

Good afternoon.   Today I am showing some more gifts that I was asked to wrap, just a couple of very girly wine bottle holders with wine included and a dish with 4 bath bombs.   Just wrapping them up in cling and tieing with some ribbon, transform them into something special, don't you think?   I normally would what I call give the cling a hair cut, but I was asked to leave it how it was.

Thank you all for all your lovely comments on my cards, made a few more last night using the same sets of dies. Plus I have been good and used up some of my PMD papers,  it's silly keeping them and going out and buying more.  Haven't really made that much of a dent in my stash, but it's a start.

Well that's the tree up, not looking how would like it, but I just had to give up trying to change it.  Knowing me it will be down just after New Year, our cottage is so small the tree and the change round of the furniture gets to me.  Any way I am off to get some cooking done, my turn to cook tonight,

Take care and wrap up warm if you are off out.

Good afternoon, and welcome.

Been busy making cards for Tammy, I had made some before with the memory box  Merry Christmas  and 25 th but she required more.  She wanted to give the people she does cleaning and ironing for ( she started her business about a year ago and is doing really well) so she wanted cards that were different from the norm.   Plus some for friends that will need posting so had to keep as flat as possible.  Here are some of what I had made, she is doing the inserts herself as she will do them on the computer, saves me.

I have used Sue Wilson striplet
Memory box Merry Christmas
Memory box 25th
Die'sire - Star of Wonder
Peel offs from stash, ( time saving to)

By next year I hope to have time to stamp more.   But seeing how last year I was still borrowing dies from sister Patricia.   I am pleased with what I have done.    I still have a good few cards to make. These are for special family and friends. I prefer to take the money I would spend on postage up to the chemo unit in the form of coffee ( the stuff they get is terrible) and nice biscuits etc.  I will take
these up when I am up at the unit for my six months check up.   Plus I always take for the staff who will be working over the festive time.

Oh it's that time again.  Curtains and blinds to be closed. Oh how I hate this time of the year.
Well  as I was closing the blinds etc, Gillian oldest daughter and partner arrived, armed with things for me to wrap, will show them later, I remembered to photo them.

Will finish here as it's now tea time, take care if you are out and about.  For those who are under the weather here are some ((((((hugs))))))

Gosh it's a week since I last posted.  I have been busy making up gifts and cutting gift bags out.   I haven't photograph the gift baskets as the light hasn't been good and they were needed to be delivered.   Today is " oldie Friday ". Erika at  set this up so we can show some of our older work, why not join her it's good to get these old projects out again.  This basket is a bit like a couple of the ones I have been doing, just with different products.

By the way Beth's school fair raised £1,140 not bad for a school of just over 100 pupils.  They still have school calenders sales to add to this total.   The fair it self was very busy and very hot, Beth wasn't feeling to well ( full of the cold) so we left after an hour.   So we just went home and cozyed up on the sofa watching a DVD.

Now this was the scene at the school yesterday morning, snow on the Lomonds hills, it soon turned to a white out with a heavy snow fall, oh how I hate snow.  Yet for two and a half years Charlie and I lived in the very South of Germany running an adventure / ski place. Granted it was that very dry snow where as here it's wet and damp stuff.

Just looked out and oh boy, heavy frost and I am not looking forward to the drive to work, as there is BLACK ICE!!     Car needs defrosting, so I'd better get a move on.

Thank you for coming to see what I have posted, feel free to leave a comment, I love reading them all and I do appreciate every one.

Keep safe and warm.

It's "Oldie Friday" again.    So I thought I'd show a couple of gift baskets made for Christmas orders last year.

Two little hampers full of "yummy" goodies.   I always feel you don't have to give huge gifts, but a small basket full of a few nice bits.

Well this is a quick post as I am off to work, and it's one of those days that I will be running from A-B and getting no where!!!  I will stay out of the house this morning as the heating has to be off as the gas man will be in to service it.   Picking Anna up at 1.15 pm, she finishes at this time every Friday, a pain really but they are trying this new school week out at her school, of course Beth still in till 3 pm.

Take care out there as it can be frosty.

Good evening.  Thank you for all your lovely comments on my gift bags, the cards and bags are all delivered to the school, I am just now waiting for the last of the tray bakes to set. So that i can get the top layer of chocolate on.  Thank goodness in away it's only once a year.

Now a long with all the school stuff I have orders to get ready.  I am showing you a gift I made today.  My title tells you what's in it.   The idea is from Tammy, she is very good with the ideas.

10 small bottles of red and white wine, some luxury mixed nuts.

All done up in a Christmas box ( Dobbies garden centre), some cello cling and Ikea ribbon I have had for years.

Sorry about the photos being so spaced out I can't think how to move them up with out loosing them.

It's not a cheap gift to make up, but you could do it with less bottles in a smaller box.  This is a Christmas come thank you gift for Tammy's MILs neighbour who keeps an eye on her and see to her garden.

Take care,

Good morning.   As I promised I am showing you some of the Gift Bags I have made up for the school to sell, I have decorated the bags using up bits from my bit  box and just  snipets.   I have more bags cut out ready to make up.

I have shown two sets of products to show you what you can get in to these bags.  The two taller products are 200ml size, so it's not just mini size that fit.

A bit longer a day for me today as its Beth's vaulting night, but don't have to stay and watch and get very cold.  Mum is on pick up on her way back from Edinburgh.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my snipet cards, the school more than happy to have them to sell, I did hope to get the older ones that go to after school club to make these up, but it would mean me being their until gone 5.30 a couple of nights and I can't as I have Anna to pick up as well as Beth and take them to their activities.   So just a s easy for me to do them.  As long as the school gets some funds, they use the fayre to get funds to cover things like the Christmas party etc.

Right off to get the Hoover out and get these golden lab hairs gone from the carpets, oh I wish this weather would make up its mind, so Harris's coat stops moulting, brushed him yesterday and filled half a carrier bag.  Mind you that was better than Sunday when he decided to roll, and I mean roll in mud, he was a black lab by the time he was finished, so he had to be hosed down, Charlie combed him after and it was a carrier bag full, then he just seemed to cast all day.

Have a good day.

Monday, 1 December 2014

Good morning, it's not too bad a one here still very grey skied, but dry.   I am not needed till pick up time at 3pm so some housework done including the ironing.  Then I decided to get the SNIPET cards finished, they needed inserts, all done. Well this lot, I am hoping to make up a few more so that on Thursday I can hand them into the school.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on the gift bags, I have got to say the XCut die that our christopher bought me for my birthday has been well used.  You can even use your snipets up decorating these too.   I have been doing this to bags that I will show tomorrow.  These again will go to the school to sell.
Nothing much going on here at the moment, and I am really feeling the benifit of not doing all that I use to do at work, mum is doing more of the taking to school so I just start on those days like today at pick up time.  So it's good, granted I might gulp at the reduced salary when I look at the bank balance.  But no that is not important at all, we don't take it into the house hold budget it's there for extras like our next planned trip to Canada.
Any way off to cut some more gift bags, then I will sit and put them together, can do this sitting on the sofa nice and comfortable.

Mainly all made using waste , a couple have got die cuts, but not many.   They are either 4x4 , 6x6 or 5x7. What ever fits the bits.

That's all, take care.

Good evening I know it's ladt but I think I have fixed the problem so here's hoping.  Gosh it has been so frustrating not being able to post.

I will keep it short and just show a couple of photos of some of the bags I have been making, plus one of the baskets.   If the light is right tomorrow I will photo some more.

I love how these and will be making more like this.

These were colours that were chosen.

One all done up.

My basket, I was given the products and asked to make it up, I like when I get the products, as you know it will be ok, when I get them you have to hope they are ok.   This was easy to do as I had a purple basket and I was able to do green and purple ribbon picking up the colours on the products.

Oh I am a happy blogger as I have managed to solve the problem, saved myself some money and it's working.  What did I do - simply signed myself out of my google account and then signed back in.
So thank you all for your support and also thank you for your lovely words regarding Jens friends death.   I made Jen a " thinking of You" card and yes I forgot to photograph it.

Any way that's me for tonight, I did say a short one and its not that short, sorry.

Thursday, 27 November 2014

Good evening, this is just a short note to say I am still here but  can't post any thing with photos as I am having terrible problems with trying to up load photos on to my blog.   Keep getting this 500 Google server error. It's driving me mad.  So tomorrow I am off to get the chap who helped Charlie with his lap top to see if he can help sorted the problem or do something so I can get my photos up.
Been busy making and doing up gift bags and other gifts.   Then tonight I have been making a card for Jen the groom at work, her best friends husband and Jens Daughters God father, died last night his car was hit by a large truck on Friday night, he was air lifted to hospital, then they put him in a coma but he didn't make it.   Jen is in tatters I feel so sorry for her, it has hit her really badly.   I think the fact that his little baby is only a year old the same age as her little boy.  Such a waste of a young life.

Anyway as I said it was just a short post.  Hopefully I will get it sorted out tomorrow.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my " Oldie Friday". Last week I appeciate them all.

Take care every one.

Good morning, and thank you for popping in or just passing through.   You are all welcome.   And for those of you who leave a comment thank you I do love getting them and reading them.

Been one of those weeks that I just don't know where the week has gone.   To think I have not even worked a full week either.  New house keeper still here, I did wonder on Monday if she might have decided to not come back.   Girls hadn't picked up anything, but Francis decided she wasn't picking up and left the big lounge where the mess was, she left a note saying that she would be in on Tuesday and if the girls remove their things and put other bits away she would clean in their.   I meet her when I was picking up Beth from school and told her well done.     I don't know if it went down well, but I made sure the girls picked up.   Seeing how I was only in for 2 hours on Tuesday first thing I don't know if she managed to get in there to clean.    I was in again this morning and total panic was going on as the girls weren't able to find clean shirts, reason no washing had been done since Monday and that was a back log from the weekend and then Francis didn't do a white load till yesterday.  So tumble dryer was on and shirts dried. Ironed and on within 20mins. By guess who?  Oh yes the washing side is the bit that's not working, as I wasn't in doing it.    But we will over come that soon.

Now today's " oldie" was my take on using the Mr. & Mrs die cut that Patricia did on her gift box.

This was one of the cards I made back in January when I only started making cards.
I think the die cut made this card, and that you didn't need much more, the aster flower was made out of tissue, you do need to fold the tissue lots of time before cutting in to it.

Not back in to work till I pick Beth up from school then we are off to pick up her new ring that was being seized, she said she couldn't wait for end of school to come.

Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend, weather isn't meant to be good so it might be a bit of a stay at home weekend.

Good afternoon from a very wet east coast of Scotland.    Lights are on in the house as it's so dark. It makes for a long day.   Thank you for all your lovely comments on June my friends little knits.
Sorry I have not posted anything since I put up the little cardigans to let Ita see them.   June my friend and Tammy's god mother is in her 70s and she is never with out something on her knitting needles.   As I said I buy these little knits from her for my baskets, I do think she some how thinks I sell lots of baskets each week, as she keeps sending me parcels, if only that was the case!!.,  Any way I have been a bit lazy, now it's not because I am busy at work. In fact I haven't been busy at all, new house keeper survived her first week - me I don't know what to do with myself, not use to not having any thing to do, plus mummy has been taking the girls to school, well Anna to get her lift and Beth to school so I have been mainly doing pick ups.  It will take me a bit of time to get use to it all.  You would think I would be doing lots of crafting, but just can't get into it.

To days card is an order from Tammy, this is for her friend.

A very CAS card, using Sue Wilson's Salzburg collection and her Filigree 3D bows.  Plus a couple of flat backed pearls from stash.

Well that's it for today, I am going to do some ironing not a lot but will become a lot if I leave it.

Good morning, this post is very quick as it's really a way I can show Ita, the baby knits that my friend makes for my gift baskets, Ita is looking for some one to knit for her little grand daughter.  This way she can see some of the lovely ones that she has made.

These are just a few, but she just loves knitting so bigger sizes wouldn't be a problem.

Sorry about this post, but if it helps Ita see what she can get, that's what I want it to do.

Will post some thing later.

Good evening, and thank you for coming and having a look what I have been up to, answer not a lot.    Left Thursday morning after dropping Beth off at school, went to Perth and picked up Patricia then to the park and ride and picked Kate up off the bus.  Then off to the airport and Birmingham.    Had great night with them others ( Kate and Patricia  have all ready told you what went on, and I know most of you are on their blogs too.)

I just think this is stunning, the work and detail that has gone into it.

I didn't buy much, just bits that I know Adrian at Poles Apart in Cupar doesn't sell, I can just pop down there when I need anything.   We need to keep these little shops open.      I did buy some bags of honey coated nuts, the family like these.

New housekeeper started today, I think the poor women nearly had a heart attack when she saw Anna's room, the wee madam hadn't done a thing to make it look tidy, Beth had made an effort.   Any way if she hasn't had a mental break down by now she will be back on Wednesday.    It will take her a couple of weeks to get herself  in a routine.  I think the fact there has been no cleaner for a month doesn't help.    We will wait and see what happens.

Well that's  it for tonight, been a long day, I have been into work since 9 pm just to be there to let the housekeeper know where things are and where they go, then Karen a wonderful curtain maker was there this afternoon hanging new bedroom curtains to get the length right, she will be back Wednesday to hang them properly.  Have to say they are looking good.  These are all the little things that I love doing, as I had a lot of input with these curtains.

Take care, we have terrible thick frog here, not good for driving in.

Good evening and thank you for popping in and having a look.   Also thank you for all your lovely comments.

Going to be a short week for me this week as. I am off to the NEC in Birmingham for a couple of day at the end of the week with Patricia and Kate.    No bag packed or anything organised, but hey ho how long will it take to put a few clothes in a bag.  As long as I have the basic I will be fine.  Don't plan to buy much, and seeing how I was at Poles Apart this morning and spent some pennies, my excuse is I am keeping Adrian in business.   It's a fantastic family run business, when do you get offered a tea or coffee when you go into a big store craft store.

Any way today's card, was a card the Tammy asked me to make late on  Saturday evening she had forgotten it was their friends 25th today.    So sorry I have yes once again used striplet die and the 25th one.   Now when I was doing this design I didn't know that Kathleen's and Iain's bridesmaids were in navy blue dresses.  So it was just by pure luck I had put that coloured flowers on it.

This is an 8x8 card.

Last week I was playing to see if I could fit two striplet dies like I have, they just fit with just the two corners crossing causing an little tiny cut that's not meant so the flowers cover that.  But I do love how it looks.

So I have used Sue Wilson striplet, Sue Wilson, vine leaves, and finishing touches, memory box 25th.
S.P. Shapeabilities, just rite anniversary stamp. Paper box silver card and flowers from stash.

Again I apologise for showing another card with striplet die.

Hopefully my next post won't be a card using the striplet

Any way that's it for tonight,  off to put my feet up and relax.

Good afternoon.    Sorry to have another striplet card up, wasn't going to show it till later, but I have a link to the blog i got the idea from for the wallets.  She put the tutorial up on the 20th Nov.2012 so if you would like to have a go at making these pop over to Pams blog, not only will you get how to makes the wallets you will also see the stunning cards that Pam makes,  true works of art.

Right for my card. Tammy got me and order for this thank you card after she had showed a friend my New Home card.   I had to make it along the same lines but in pale lilic and white.   So that's what I did.

Again I have used the Tethered Hearts die ( just love this die )
Heart Felt asters
Sue Wilson Vine leaves
Some more of those die cuts Patricia gave me.
This is an 8x8 card.

I am pleased how this one also turned out.   I am back to work on Monday so I can't see me getting much play time.  I am not going to be doing any thing except seeing to the girls getting to and from school and taking them to activities, but that alone eats into crafting time.  These last two weeks have been good as I have just crafted when I felt like it.

Thank you again for all your comments I do appreciate ever one of them, and enjoy reading them.
For those of you who are having a hard time of it just now, and there are a few I send you

Take care, the weather doesn't look to good for the end of today and tomorrow so in a way we are glad we aren't travelling.  Charlie's back still sore as well.   So we are in the best place.  "Home".

It's Friday again and time to join Erika Showing an oldie, this is just a bit of fun where you can show a craft that you did some time ago.   Today is some wallets I made way before I had my blog, in fact Patricia. made these for my Tammy back in 2012. They are on Patricia's blog on 3/12/2012.   Unfortunately she hasn't put up the template on how to make them and I can't find mine.  Now this idea came from someone else's blog but again I can remember whose.  So sorry if it's one of my followers and I cant let folk know.

These wallets hold a bar of chocolate, or if you made them deeper you can fit in two mini products.   Tammy and I used them as teachers, helpers gifts as they covered female/ males gifts.
And very inexpensive.   Oh I wish I could find that template, I might just have to have a play and put that brain of mine to work.  I will let you know if I manage it.

Well I should have been away from yesterday on a little road trip leaving here going to visit friends, in Yorkshire, Grantham and Cannock near Birmingham,  but husband got out of the car on Wednesday night and his back went.   He is ok but sitting in the car for hours just wouldn't have been good, so we decided to cancel, no point of taking the risk.    It wasn't as if we can't go at another time.   So I will just have some more time to play.

This wallet I made for a birthday gift.

Thank you for all your lovely comment on my last card, it has all ready gone, it never made it to my box.  Tammy's friends mum had a mini stroke on Monday, so she will receive it hopefully today.

Take care what ever you are doing.

((((((Hugs)))))) to those who need them .

Wednesday, 22 October 2014

Good morning,  and thank you once again for all your lovely comments on my Bit Box cards.   I had fun making these plus the others that I have made, and box has still got loads in it.    I also would like to welcome Steph ( Lancashire Steph ) you might know her as, Steph comments on Sue Wilson's blog.  Steph felt she was a spy as she could look in and see what I was up to but couldn't leave a comment as she blogs under anonymous and my blog didn't allow that, so I have allowed it, so she doesn't feel a spy any more.

Things were a bit hectic here yesterday, had grandson here for a sleep over with mummy coming for them once she had finished work, well she came at lunch time and no sooner had she turned up when Christopher our son phoned with" help can I bring washing and use your machine". What could I say as I had been doing washing for Tammy.   ( so new sign on front of the house - Chinese laundry ) Patricia did say she hoped that they would chip in for a new machine when mine goes.  Christopher's machine bit the dust after 19 years.  New one should turn up today, but knowing the weather wasn't going to be good he just wanted a couple of loads done.   I feel the machine knew it wasn't moving with them. They should have moved Monday to a new  house which unfortunately has fallen through as they still haven't sold theirs. I think someone is looking after them as the new one needed lots of work.

Today's card is one I made for my box.

This card also contains a few bits out of that bit box, when I got my X Cut I played with different dies and thicknesses of card to see how it worked.   So with them and the vine type die cuts that Patricia gave me I made this.   How it turned out I felt it would make a lovely card for a female who was a bit under the weather.

Back ground die is From the Sue Wilson's Spanish collection.
Heart felt asters.
No idea the vine die.
Pearls from stash.
Card turned out as 5 1/2 x 7 1/2. Now an envelope has to be made, why oh why did I not think and get it down to 5x7 as I have loads of that size.

Nothing much on the cards for today, it's pouring with rain and cold so maybe another day of card making out of that bit box.

Thank you for popping in.

Thank you for coming to see what I have been up to, and for your comments on my last card.

Well it's been a very wild day here in the east of Fife.   Rain has stopped but for how long that's the question?    So it's been an ideal day for staying in, not one for getting washing dry.   Tammy handed me three different coloured washes all in bags just ready for me to put each bag full into the machine, she is well trained as I would say, no mixing of loads.  I have done 2 of them they are on the dryers, thankfully a lot are thin t-shirts so won't take long to dry.  So not that exciting a day for me.

Over the week I have been using up bits from my bit box as I have said.  These are just a few more, nothing fancy,  it's just nice to use up bits.  It's kept me busy, well not that busy!!!

As I said " nothing fancy"    Waste from die cuts, die cuts that I wasn't happy with as I had used not strong enough card for what I wanted, but ok, cut offs of card,  pearls and ribbon etc.  from stash.  The school can have these to sell, as they say " it all helps the school funds". I have made a few more but I have still to put inserts into these.  Bit box is still full, but hopefully I will get more made.

I am off up to Inverness tomorrow to have lunch and a chat with Kate ( Culliesocks ). We are off to the N.E.C.  At the beginning of November, so we will go over arrangements for that too.   Really looking forward to those days away and meeting up with (Ang. Mrs Duck) and Christine, and their is word that John Next Door could be there as well, plus anyone else that cares to join our merry little band.

I will go now and clean up all the bits I have had out looking for bits, then I'd better get the Hoover out and get this place looking more respectful.

Good afternoon.  Thank you for calling by.   Also thank you for you comments on my centre piece again.   Ang ( Mrs Duck ) was saying I would have to tell you what I was hoping to be putting in the little pots this year, answer nothing!!  I am not doing the Christmas Meal this year.   It's Gillian  and Andrews first Christmas together and from what I can understand they want to hold it at theirs for the family. So Gillian will choose her own table decorations.   Me I am very happy to let them do this.

My card is for a couple who are both in to crafts, so I thought I'd like to do a different from my normal new home card.  I usually use LOTV images, I have made a these in the past for this couple as they have had a few moves while at university.   This is their now settled home.  They have both secured very good jobs in big law firms and now they have found their new home all in the 5 months since finishing their degrees, we are so pleased for them both.

As I said different.   Yes I have used my much loved Striplet die.  Sorry I have been using this die a lot, and more so this last few days.   It makes a card and along with my Asters, again I love making and using these.  I cut these out of scraps along with leaves and have them in a box ready to use when needed.   So a quick card to put together.  I used buttons for the centres of the asters mainly for the colour, plus I have so many of these to use up.

This is an 8x8 card
Sue Wilson heart striplet
Sue Wilson curled vines
Heart felt creation Asters
Crafters Companion sentiment
Buttons and pearls from stash.

Off to meet up with Tammy for a coffee.  She is going to giving me a couple of loads of washing, two weeks away, lots of washing so I will help her out.  I did all her bedding while they were away, she stripped and remade their beds on the day they were going I collected it and have washed it, she has the ironing of it to do, but just greatfull to have it washed so I will give her that back.  ( I suppose that's what being and mum is all about ). She will be over on Tuesday helping me give the house a good clean.   I find pulling out everything to much now. Charlie would help do it but he always seems to find something else to do when I need his help.   So it's a fair exchange.

Enjoy your weekend.

It's Friday again, a week has gone by so that's my first week off gone.    I have enjoyed doing very little, just  pottered around doing what needs doing in the house and Charlie and I have gone out for lunch etc.

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my  " Striplet". Cards.  I do love using those dies, as they create beautiful cards very simply.

" Oldie" Friday "  is Erika's  idea  It's just a fun way of showing some of your older work, it can be anything not just a card, why not join in.       My " oldie" is this

I thought I'd show my Christmas table centre piece, I first showed this back in July, 2013. I even managed instruction on how I made this, the next day. Gosh what happened there I don't know because I wasn't that up to speed with things then and I still am not that great.   This centre piece can be reused for years, you just have to think of different things to put in the little pots and centre box.
I made one of these for my bosses holiday let cottage, and from that I got an order to make one from the family that were in the cottage for Christmas that year.   The next year the folk decided to take it home.    Does make you wonder.   I have made a good few of these.

I am off now to make a card that I need for next week, so I will leave you here.  Enjoy your weekend and I hope the weather will be reasonable, I can't see it being any warmer, winter is not far off I think.
Younger daughter and family are just back from to weeks with lovely warm temps, and my little grandson asked if they could go back as his bed was cold.  Bless !!!.   She told him she will buy him a cozy hot water bottle for now.  ( cheaper)  than another holiday.

Good morning and welcome to my blog, to those who leave me lovely comments Thank You.   For those who pop in but don't leave a comment Thank You also, I know a lot of people don't have blogs, I have been there too and loved looking at what others got up to, so I hope you like what you see here.

Today I am showing some more very simple cards using my striplet dies.    They are very simple and I haven't put sentiments on them, they will go into my box to be used when needed.

As I said very simple , apart from the striplet die.  The memory box die cut and  the backing papers are all out of my bit box.  Ribbon and pearls from stash.   The cards are around 4x7  just bits of  off cuts that I won't bin.

I am enjoying knowing I am not going to work.  Ok I have still do things here at home but I have no rush, where as I am usually trying to fit it in round other things.

We are just waiting to see what Mr Weather is going to do, before we decide what we will do later.  At the moment it's raining, but bits of blue sky appearing so here's hoping.

So what ever you are up to enjoy.

Good morning,.  Welcome to all who pop in to see what I am up to.   Thank you for all your comments on my card and the ones for Beth.  She wrote out what i had to say, and checked my blog to make sure I hadn't changed anything.  She is good where manners are concerned.   ull To day is " Oldie Friday" again. Now today I am not showing a craft but a photograph,.

This time last year we were holidaying in Canada and I was blogging photographs of what we had seen during each day.   This one was while we were travelling from Edmonton to Jasper.
Now if we had known in time that I was going to be off for the next two weeks we would have been away again.    Next year is now ear marked for another trip.

A slightly later start at work this morning, I have no idea why, as it's a stupid start time, I don't know if I am in to take Anna and Beth to school or just Beth, got a text just saying " just before 8am"
Busy day at work as I will have to pack for the two girls, but I am NOT doing much else.  Now usually I would be making sure the washing and ironing are right up to date, but oh no not this time. I have to stand my ground and not do it.  The new housekeeper isn't starting till the end of the month, the temp cleaner finishes today, so it's going to be fun, fun , fun.  It will be only the second time in 12 years that there house will have no Nanny, groom or cleaner working  while they are off work.
In a way I might dread going back in 2 weeks.  Then again I Might be wrong.

Any way I must get a move on, and see to bits before I go to work Charlie very good at doing things as long as I tell him they need doing.   Can men not see the dog hairs, so you would Hoover, the washing machine is going, so that needs hung out or on to the dryers., and that the bed needs making seeing how they were the last one out of it. NO!!!

Have a lovely weekend what ever your have planned.   ((((((Hugs)))))) to those who need them just now and I know there are a few.

Wednesday, 8 October 2014

Good afternoon, at least it is a lovely sunny one, even if there is still a bit of a nip in the air.   I am enjoying some me time as I don't need to pick Beth up till 4pm.   She is doing bike training after school, then it's on to pick Anna up she is playing Netball.  So I did house work here then I got on with making a card I was asked to make.   The person receiving it doesn't know I have a blog so it will safe to show it.

Was asked to make a not to fancy but with a bit of sparkle card.

I cut out the 50 from the 2 pieces of paper which is I think 180gsm
Then just changed them over and stuck cut out pieces back in where needed.

Used  2 sheet of paper from a pack from Lidl
Memory box 50 die
Flowers are ones I use on my baskets.

The customer very pleased with it.  So I suppose that's all that counts.

Now for a message from Beth.

Thank you all very much for all my congratulations, I was very pleased to get my 5th. Infact I was surprised as there were lots of wonderful freestyles.    I must have done something right, liz who is our head coach is going to try and get a team together for next year so that I can be the flyer.   Hazel, mummy and daddy are saying no way - so watch this space as I will get Hazel to take a photo.
Thank you again

Monday, 6 October 2014

Good evening, do you ever regret that you didn't  go somewhere after the event is over???  Well as you know Beth wanted me to go to Glasgow to see her at the Scottish Horse Vaulting Competition  yesterday.  And I didn't go well in a way I feel guilty now.  As some of you will know she hasn't been doing this for long and yesterday she got fifth place in the individuals out of a Hugh class.  I now wish I had been there to see her do her routine.    Granted it would have been a terribly long day. They left at 6.40am and didn't get home until after 9 pm.   So I picked up a very tired girl from school this afternoon, it's a bath and an early night.

So from only starting back in April to getting a 5th I am proud of her.  Haven't got a photo of her in her gear yesterday, mummy only took videos.    Beth watched the World champion team doing their thing and has made up her mind that she wants to be a flyer.  This is the little person at the top of maybe 5 other vaulters all on the back of a very large horse - SCARY!!!   Knowing this little madam she will get there.

Thank you for all your comments on my card, also to those who took time to go over to Tina's blog.http// Thank you.
Now I have say thank you to Mary http// for taking the time last night to tell me how to do this link thing.  So thank you again Mary.

Well I have started my new work routine today.  Mum did drop off this morning and all I did was pick up. Worked all of 2 1/2 hours today which was lovely.  Granted tomorrow will be longer as I have to be in early, and it's a late finish. But I am off in between.

Take care and I hope your weather was better than ours today.   Tomorrow doesn't look like it will be any better.

Saturday, 4 October 2014

Well we are in to another weekend, and the weather hasn't been to good up until a few hours ago.   Heating was on as it was so cold, damp and miserable.   A ray of sunshine did come this morning when the Postman handed me a package that contained the most stunningly beautiful card.    Now I don't know how to link to others blogs that easily so I if you go across to    Http//   you will see my beautiful gift.  Tina makes the most amazing cards.

Now my card to day was asked for along with the baby basket and birth congratulation card, this was for the couples 15 month old little boy.  So I used a LOTV little boy image which I thought just fitted the bill.

Just a very plain simple card.

I am having a lazy day.  One of those days you have loads to do but just can't be bothered doing things.  I will regret it tomorrow, but I will just have to get on with it as I will be back at work Monday.  The girls are off on half term as from Friday and so am I.  So I will be busy making sure everything is up to date.  I am cutting back on what I do at work but just can't leave things as they are. . A housekeeper is going to be employed, I will be there just for the girls - no ironing or room cleaning for me. Now how happy am I??? Oh yes very.....

Thank you for your comments on my "oldie". Oh yes I have been well roped in by the out of school club, but if the school raise funds from the them making and selling boxes and gift bags at the Christmas Fair then it will be worth the little bit of my time.

Take care.
